About Leigh

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

                                                                                                               --Robert A. Heinlein

Leigh has extensive outdoors skills experience spanning over 35 years. Many of these years include providing remote/special operations medical support and search & rescue operations on five continents in harsh environments ranging from arctic, jungle, desert to high altitude mountains.

Leigh was introduced to the outdoors at an early age which led to his getting very involved in backpacking, whitewater rafting/canoeing, caving, rock climbing and mountaineering. He regularly teaches survival, visual tracking, land navigation, primitive skills and nature awareness having used these skills in various regions around the world.

Leigh is a Georgia Master Naturalist, and is a member of the International Society of Professional Trackers, Society of Primitive Technology, and he is a founding member of the Georgia Tracker's Alliance.

Leigh has a keen interest in the areas of enhanced human performance, mind/body medicine, extended human capabilities, anomalous cognition, and applied psi. He has conducted considerable research into these areas around the globe and has trained numerous individuals in these various modalities. This includes the training of a considerable number of persons in Applied Remote Viewing in the United States, United Kingdom and Russia. Leigh has written extensively on these topics, and has been published in several international journals. His work has been translated into several languages including Japanese, Russian, Italian, Spanish, and Indonesian.

Martial arts have been of serious interest for Leigh since age nine and he has black belts in three disciplines.  His main interest in this area, however, lies with the Kadochnikov System. The Kadochnikov System utilizes body mechanics, and integrates mind, body, and novel biophysical energetics. Leigh was in the first group of Americans ever to study with Mr. Aleksey Alekseyevich Kadochnikov at the Kuban Military Institute in Krasnodar, Russia in April 2001.

It is Leigh's view that only by becoming more aware on multiple levels, ranging from our relationship with nature and the world we live in, to that of extended non-local awareness, that we as a species will "actualize" our true potential.

Additionally, Leigh is an amateur radio operatior (FCC Amateur Extra License / KW4GR).  Leigh enjoys playing the didjeridu and exploring wild places in his Land Cruiser.

Leigh is available for speaking engagements.
